I was admitted to Island Hospital for a week with a Urinary Tract Infection. During my stay in hospital I met a family (mother and son) from Indonesia who were across the room from mine. The son, Hendrick was very sick and every day from 4pm his temperature spiked and he would shiver uncontrollably while complaining of pain all over. Samples taken from his spinal cord showed that his white cell count was very high and his mother was told that one of his organs was swollen.

I would like to share a testimony I witnessed early last year (2014) in Cathedral of the Holy Spirit. My wife and I were attending some FLM functions during that time. After the function, as my wife developed neck pain, she asked Fr Bernard to pray over her. During that period, I was standing beside her. Due to my irregular heart beat, I was given a new medication in the year 2014. After taking that new medication, I started to develop blood in urine, a condition known as Haemeturia. The doctor prescribed another alternative medicine but the bleeding started again, for about 60 hours non-stop.

I continued praying to the Divine Mercy for healing. All this time, I have been praying for Christ’s mercy for the medication to be suitable for me.

An hour after he left our house to lecture at the hospital where he worked, I learnt that my husband, Segaran had suffered a stroke. I was at the first Friday holy hr. on Oct 7th. Fr. was leading us into deep moments of prayer and contemplation. At one point he asked us to just gaze upon the face of Jesus and see the face of mercy. I looked at the cross and up at Jesus’ face. It gave me great peace and I just asked for his guidance. This Holy Thursday, 17^th April 2014, I was intent on spending one hour in adoration instead of the hurried minutes I had spent in all the previous years. The ambience after mass was perfect when the lights were dimmed in the Church of Divine Mercy, Penang and the solemn voice of our parish priest, Father Martin came through, inviting all present to spend one hour with the Lord.

I visited Mother Mary’s shrine in Ladang Sg. Batu on the 6th of May 2014. One of the petitions that I placed at the shrine was for my nephew and his wife to be blessed with a child and many more.

In my petition, I wrote to Mother Mary that I believed that nothing is impossible with God and that it was my fervent hope to receive good news regarding my petition.
